Someone once told me that talent without effort is like kicking away everything you are capable of becoming. That phrase resonated with me, but I had to make some subtle changes.

What about enjoyment? Falling in love with what you do? Vibrating with every step? We get so caught up in the finish line that we forget that giving it your all means nothing if you don't put a little soul into it.

Hi, I’m Maricruz, photographer and creative director, and I firmly believe that soul is the key ingredient to success. That’s how my personal brand was born: from a deep longing and need to create a free, authentic, and creative space. A place where art is celebrated and elevated in every possible way and from every perspective. Just as I don’t believe in talent without effort, I can’t create without being completely passionate about the process. 

I share my name with the women who raised me; it’s the name that echoes most during the long after-dinner conversations at home, where I grew up with a camera in hand and limitless inspiration.

Since moving to the Netherlands, I’ve noticed that the sun of my homeland, Andalusia, stays with me in every photo and in my attitude. I strive to make you feel like part of the family as if we’ve known each other forever while treating my work with the care of a master craft.
